All About me!!!
My name is Reema Arora and I am a PreK teacher here at Roebling Elementary School. I am thrilled to work in this district. This is my second year at Roebling and I love coming to work each day. You can learn a little more about me as you scroll down.
Why I became a teacher:
I believe a part of me has always known that I was going to be a teacher. While I was working towards my masters in psychology, I started working as a preschool teacher in India. There was a student in my class who was very much distracted and could not sit still for more than a minute. Back then I had no idea what the issue was but I felt like I could help him in some way. Whenever I used to work around him I used to feel exhausted and I thought of his parents who have him all day and night. Being a psychology student I contacted my professors and took some guidance to help the boy. My teaching style helped him. That day changed my world the way I used to perceive my surroundings. That framework and passion both provided me to take this decision and opt for a Special Education profession. Today, I have 8 years of experience as a Special Education teacher. I also have 5 years of experience as an ABA therapist.
My Teaching Philosophy:
My beliefs are short and simple. I believe if someone is determined and passionate to learn and grow, they can accomplish anything in life. I believe everyone can succeed , everyone can grow. My mission is to instill in my students the belief that they can do anything they set their mind to.
"It is always beautiful when a career and a passion come together. As passion will lead you into your purpose."
